FM EXPO to inspire, educate & inform through free seminars, conferences & workshops

The Middle East’s facilities management sector is witnessing robust growth driven by the surge in activities related to construction and infrastructure development. The UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are leading the region with highly advanced and sustainable FM solutions, with the UAE industry alone poised to be worth AED 20 billion in 2015. Leveraging the momentum experienced by the sector and its potential for further expansion, FM EXPO will offer a valuable platform for industry professionals to come together to discuss trends, challenges and best practices.

The region’s only dedicated FM exhibition taking place from May 18 to 20, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre will host the annual World FM Congress along with free certified workshops. Focusing on the theme ‘Driving Quality into Facilities Management,’ the current edition of FM EXPO will emphasise on enhancing industry knowledge by enlightening companies on ways to improve the quality of their services. It will not only enable them to help clients maintain and manage their assets more efficiently, but also ensure their loyalty.

FM EXPO will feature a wide range of educational and engaging conferences, talks and workshops that will reveal dominant trends, stimulate the exchange of ideas, and address major issues within the sector. The show includes over 30 seminars especially designed for FM companies and their clients to enhance their understanding of the industry. Aside from being a highly educational and informative yet free-of-charge event, FM EXPO is also a networking platform which offers infinite opportunities to connect with industry peers, experts, vendors and competitors. We facilitate fantastic opportunities to set up meetings with other businesses and help them get in touch with visitors to showcase their full range of services and solutions.

On the first day of the World FM Congress, Elie Mater, Head of Dubai Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau’s Electricity Department will deliver a keynote on ‘New Energy Efficiency Regulations and the Implications for the FM Sector.’ In addition, the FM Leader Panel will discuss ‘Balancing Innovation, Sustainability and Operational Efficiency to Deliver Real Value for Money in FM Sector,’ moderated by internationally acclaimed industry leaders. Moreover, market overviews, updates and case studies will keep participants engaged all throughout the day.

The second day of the conference will begin with a Client Panel on ‘How Can the FM Industry Better Serve Client,’ where regional decision makers and influencers will share their knowledge and expertise. Additionally, there will be Business Intelligence sessions, a Finance Clinic, and an Innovation Masterclass. The FM EXPO will conclude with an afternoon workshop on Leadership and People Development conducted by Liz Kentish, Managing Director of Kentish and Co. and Former Deputy Chairman of the British Institute of Facilities Management, on the third day.

As one of the region’s popular and oldest FM exhibitions, FM EXPO successfully hosts professionals who can enlighten the audience and add value to the show with their industry insights, future outlook, and expert opinion on wide-ranging topics. It is organized by dmg events, one of the world’s largest media groups, and their experience and expertise has definitely made tremendous contributions in enhancing FM EXPO’s brand’s image. It is through dmg event’s platform that we are able to connect with different market segments and industry verticals. dmg events is a trusted name in organizing several large-scale events and some of its well-known shows include The Big 5, the Hotel Show, and Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).

Since its first edition in 2005, FM EXPO has increased considerably in size, welcoming new promoters every year along with companies that have been with us since the beginning. Additionally, it has been successful in raising the profile of FM as exhibitors are able to conduct business and reach out to their target audience. In 2014, we launched two new niche industry-focused shows – Middle East Waste & Recycling and Commercial Cleaning & Hygiene, which resulted in increased visitor turnout. Last year’s event registered a footfall of over 7,500 visitors from 144 countries who visited 148 exhibitors from seven nations and attended 32 educational events in an exhibition space of over 3,043 sqm.

In 2015, we expect more investment in free-to-attend, high quality seminars, workshops and conferences as we continue to inspire, inform and entertain our visitors and exhibitors. Along with Middle East Waste & Recycling and Commercial Cleaning & Hygiene, this year’s FM EXPO will also see the launch of Elevators & Access Control. Going forward, we will continue to push boundaries to create innovative and engaging events.
