The Value of Green Building in Indonesia |Holcim | Ranidia Leeman

Ranidia Leeman talks about the current green building practices in Indonesia and how the market responds to the existing trends.

There is a positive growth of green building certifications in commercial building segments, in which most multinational enterprises favor the use of LEED and Green Mark labels. The trend is also picking up for the local players – young entrepreneurs start to adopt green building practices due to its differentiation value, giving a promise of consistent growth in the next future. However, the main hindrances remain – apart from the limited technology advancement in the market, the silo thinking due to a lack of alignment between the building stakeholders needs to be primarily tackled to ensure a synchronized priorities and objective in adopting green building practices.

Ranidia Leeman is the Commercial Building Solution Manager at Holcim Indonesia.
