A Closer Look at Thailand’s Green Building Growth | Solidiance | Mickael Feige

Mickael Feige shares with us the current overview of green building sector in Thailand and how it shapes up amidst the existing barriers within the market.

CSR or corporate branding and the perceived return on investment of building green are currently the key drivers spurring the green building practices. However, the higher construction cost which depends on the targeted green certification types (TREES, LEED and so forth) and level and a lack of the architects and designers’ awareness on the benefits of pursuing green practices come as a set of challenges that remain to be solved within the Thailand green building market.
