Singapore: MediaCorp’s New Campus Building Wins the Green Mark Platinum Award

MediaCorp’s new campus at one-north has won the Building & Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award, the highest rating for green buildings in Singapore.

Winning features of the new campus, which is under construction, include efficient air-conditioning and “green” concrete. The features will give the building energy savings of about 35 per cent.

The broadcaster is expected to make the move in 2015.

Kenneth Ng, director of campus development at MediaCorp, said: “As a broadcaster, we do use an extraordinary amount of energy for our buildings. So it’s very vital from the corporate standpoint to lower our carbon footprint, and to ensure that we have a building that is fit for the future.”
