Stewart Dellar asserts the importance of eco-cities and considerable keys to enhance green building industry in China.
Eco-cities in China is critical in terms of the country’s future cities development in which focus shall be put on both the residential and industrial segment. Capability, proper understanding of the green building benefits in the market, and strong regulatory framework and enforcement from the government are among the necessary factors to enhance green building growth in China. He also mentions that in China, developers build green not only for social responsibility, but also for economic and health benefits.
Stewart Dellar is the President of Asian Buildings business of Bluescope Steel. Stewart is currently leading BlueScope Steel’s green buildings initiative covering the Asia region and has 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry.
