Malaysia : Two new data centers to meet green certification


VADS Berhad has begun construction on two new data centers: a primary facility located in Nusajaya, Malaysia, spanning about 90,000 sq ft, and a secondary facility in Cyberjaya, situated just around 320 km away from the first data centre.

The primary data center is certified with Tier III white space and is expected to be completed early next year.

The secondary facility, on the other hand, is expected to be built later this year. Both data centers will feature a fiber optic link between them and is equipped with 100G high-speed fiber optic cable, allowing for active redundancy which will prevent service interruptions, meanwhile the Nusajaya data center will include four fiber paths.

Both data centers will be operational by the first quarter of 2018. According to Massimo Migliuolo, CEO of VADS, the construction of this two data centers will follow stringent security standards and aims to meet the green building certification.
