India : Gold rating for Tata Power’s Corporate Centre


Tata Power’s Corporate Centre in Mumbai, the Carnac Building, has been awarded IGBC’s Gold rating under the green Existing Buildings category for their commitment in achieving the necessary green building standards. The Carnac Building is the first building to be certified green in  the company, and hopes that all key establishments in Mumbai are certificated by 2020.

Anil Sardana, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Power, spoke to the media and said that it was an honor to be given the gold certification in the green existing building category for their efforts towards environmental conservation and maintaining quality standards in the company’s operations. Within the achievement, Tata Power will keep moving forward in strengthing the commitment towards a green approach and operational excellence.

The Green Existing Buildings O&M (EBOM) rating system initiated by the Indian Green Building Council assesses these key elements in a building: the Site & Facility Management, Water Efficiency , Energy Efficiency, Health & Comfort and Innovation.
