India : International school in Guwahati awarded for green practices

The Green School Platinum Award 2016 has been given to NPS International School, Guwahati, for their commitment towards implementing green practices.

Talking about the certification, Prof. Gautam Biswas, Director of IIT Guwahati, praised the student’s efforts in making the school green and sustainable. The need to conserve energy and nature comes with the NPS International students been urged to concentrate more on  the related issues to achieve a better future.

Along with IGBC’s initiative on the vision “to enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environmen by 2025”, Probahati Biswas, principal of the school, also explained the students’ role in making the entire school building environmentally green at IIT Guwahati.
