The advancement in technology in today’s digital world has significantly contributed to the mitigation of climate change. With the implementation of eco-friendly and energy saving technology, Graha Teknologi Nusantara, a joint venture between Lippo subsidiary Multipolar Technology, and with Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co have just opened its first green data center in Indonesia.
By adopting the green concept, GTN Data center applies energy-efficiency features into its design. It utilizes a cold aisle containment rack by controlling the pressure of air-flow for the cooling process. The 2,000 sqm building is also integrated with Japanese high quality management system strategy, namely Safe (in a strategic and secure location), Stable (dual grid power sources for constant power supply) and Sustainable (Dynamic Rotary UPS with energy kinectic for uninterrupted power back), according to a release published in the media.
Situated in Lippo Cikarang Bekasi, West Java, the GTN data center is equipped with Power Efficiency Management such as LED lamp, No Hazardous Material, Better Land Management, Water treatment facility, Direct connect power grid to stabilize the sources.
According to Richard Kartawijaya, CEO of GTN, by working together with one of the most reliable and advanced security providers service company in Japan, GTN Data Center is prepared to construct three buildings with 40,000 sq meters total floor space and accommodate up to approximately 20,000 racks, making it one of the largest co-location data centers in the world. GTN aims to be the most secure data center in Indonesia and largest data center in the world.
