India : FDCM’s green building inauguration

The green building of the Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (FDCM) in India had been inaugurated last Friday by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Other key figures attending the ceremony in Hingna Road consisted of the Finance, Planning and Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister of State for Tribal Development Ambrishrao Atram, Mayor Pravin Datke, Secretary, Department of Forest, Vikas Kharge, Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar, and Chief of Forest Force an FDCM Chairman Chandansingh Chandel.

According to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Forest Department aims to send a positive message in society about nature conservation through initiatives in green building construction. Along with this building, eco-friendly environment balance, bio diversity, protection of wildlife and conservation will also be promoted. The building is said to be the first green building by the Government department in the city.

The Chief Minister also added during the ceremony that the FDCM building was a breakthrough for the green building movement in the city.
