Located in the state of Penang, Malaysia, a new HP Inc facility has opened for producing ink print supplies delivered to consumers. The facility is said to have applied sustainability practices to its building.
LED lighting and smart building management systems are among the green solutions facilitated to lower energy use and increase water recycling. The building will manufacture ink supplies that have closed loop recycling for plastic and leverage HP Inc’s technology in wafer fab and circuit integration that is recyclable, according to Kym Lim, managing director of HP Malaysia.
She also added that this operational building will help the technical and engineering talent to gain their skills of advanced materials, which in turn will also contribute towards Malaysia’s ecosystem and industry.
