Korea : Energy management system for LSIS campus

Due to its building energy management system, LS Industrial System’s Anyang research and development campus was named Asia’s no.2 Green Building, announced company officials last Monday.

The campus building sports deeply integrated energy management systems. Thanks to its solar energy production, energy storage systems and energy management systems, the building saves 10 percent of total energy usage. The building is complete with sensors located around the campus which turn off lights and heating or cooling systems while the offices are empty.

6.5 percent energy, up to 110 million won ($93,000), has been saved by the energy management system alone in the company’s factory in Cheongju.
