Malaysia : The first phase of Aspen Vision Eco-City underway


Progress of Aspen Vision City in Batu Kawan, Penang, is currently underway. The first phase is said to be completed by 2019, which will comprise of the first Ikea Store in the northern region, Columbia Asia Hospital, Vervea commercial precinct, residential units, office towers, business class hotel, international school, financial hub and a 25-acre central park, according to Datuk M. Murly, Chief Executive Officer of Aspen Group.

During a recent press conference, Murly inked an agreement with Teka Kuchentechnik (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd managing director Foo Kok Chye at Aspen’s new sales gallery in Batu Kawan. Under the terms of the agreement, Teka will invest RM 5 million worth of kitchen appliances for Vertu Resort, the first residential development in Aspen Vision City.

The Vertu Resort, comprising of 1,282 condominiums, had already been 50% sold, while the Vervea 90%, said Murly. He added that the Vertu Resort will have home furnishing by Ikea and kitchen appliances by Teka, fitted will at least two parking lots in every unit. The units range from RM418,000 and RM600,000 in pricing.

Being the first high-rise development to be inspired by, the Vertu Resort will be the first residential development in Aspen Vision City to meet a Green Building Index certification as part of  the sustainable development located seven acres of the freehold land in mainland Penang.
