India : UL Cyber Park in compliance with LEED Gold Standard


UL Cyber Park, the first IT park set up by the Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), will soon will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee of India.

According to S.Arun, UL Cyber Park Chief Operating Officer, the 10 storey building was built in compliance with the green building LEED Gold Standards and will provide a vibrant eco-friendly environment for innovation and excellence.

With a total capacity of 30 lakh sq ft in the 10 storey building, the UL CyberPark project proceeded to start its construction phase in late January 2012. The IT park is expected to provide employment of 20,000 and will soon provide an estimated 80,000 employment during the second phase. Ramesan Paleri, the ULCCS President, said that the total project is projected to cost around Rs. 600 crore.
