phase 1 overview 2

Situated on Island Oases in Iskandar Malaysia, this man-made island called Forest City is the first and largest mixed-use green development project with vertical greenery implementation and a smart city design theme in Southeast Asia. The project was made possible by a joint venture between Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd (Hong Kong-listed property developer) and Johor’s Esplanade Danga 88 Sdn Bhd.

Completed with vertical greenery covered with dense foliage, multiple forms of public transportation operating at high efficiency, sustainable and renewable energy infrastructure and futuristic green design and smart technologies, Forest City has also adopted best practices to minimize environmental impact through integrated solutions. With an estimated investment of S$58.3 billion over the next 20 years, Forest City is expected to drive the economy in the Iskandar region.

According to Mr. Mo Bin, Chief Executive Officer of Country Garden Holdings, Forest City is Country Garden’s largest real estate project outside China with the car-free zone, luxury green living that co-exists with smart technologies and amenities. Surrounded by nature and near to the urban centre, this project is Southeast Asia’s city of the future.

Spanning over 1,386.05 hectares on four man-made islands, the first phase of Forest City includes condominiums and high-rise coastal residences. It will be released for global sales in due course in Singapore, China, and Malaysia.
