India : Residential project is certified Silver-rated by IGBC

After awarded a pre-certified Gold rating in the Green Building segment in CREDAI awards 2015, Primarc, a real estate group, with its residential project ‘Gangetica’ located at Chandangar, has been awarded with silver rating in the Green Building Segment by Indian Green Building Council.

The ‘Gangetica’ silver rating has been calculated for its plan of sewage treatment plant (STP) and water treatment plant (WTP), rainwater harvesting pit which is compelling in conserving and recycling of rain water for building consumption, and also the usage of fly ash bricks as a by-product element which is less in expenditure and also more eco-friendly.

With the construction of C.P fittings (plumbing fixtures), Gangetica is able to save more water with a low flow, while the application of low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) internal paint wall is suited for people who are sensitive to high VOC.

Since 2001, The Indian Green Building Council took a special interest in the residential real estate sector to promote the idea of green homes. These ideas include reducing carbon footprint of buildings with several innovative ways both in building construction and maintenance. As India houses the second largest population in the world after China, natural resource and energy consumption is extremely high.
