Tera Tower, the new 20-story “Green” office building by Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) property developer has proven to boost the firm’s turnover and demands from the tenants, with all leasable spaces in the building having been booked.
Tera Tower is the first office building in the new mixed-use complex on C-5 Road in Quezon City with an eco-friendly building design and construction, aiming for the LEED gold certification.
As a sustainable construction, Tera Tower has green features that promotes healthy lifestyle. The tower features green attributes such as double glazed glass windows, which allows natural light into the building while blocking out noise and heat, as well as decreases the use of air conditioning (AC) and office lighting. It is also equipped with a rooftop garden that does not only collect and recycle rain water, but also consists of non-invasive plants to help reduce the heat island effect.
The tower applies LED lighting installation in several areas, water saving fixtures, and energy-saving AC systems called the VRF (variable refrigerant flow) which does not harm the ozone layer. The construction materials used for the building are recycled, sourced from waste and substantial local materials to lessen the carbon footprint.
