The Central Government has started the process of constructing a ‘Green Building’ for the Directorate of Census Operations near Raipur, officials informed.
The building is expected to be constructed in 4,300 square meters of land in Abhanpur Tehsil, they informed.
Notably, Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Works Venkaiah Naidu during his day-long visit to Chhattisgarh on May 28, he also performed bhumi pujan of offices to be constructed for Central Government departments in a proposed office complex in Sector 24 in Naya Raipur.
Naidu during his visit stated that the office complex for Central government departments will be developed over 1.50 lakh sq meters of land at a cost of `72 crore.He said that the office complex building will have six storeys and would comprise 30 offices.
Naidu said that Central Public Works Department (CPWD) will complete this building in 27 months. Besides offices of Income Tax, Central Excise and Customs, all the other departments of the Central government will be located in the complex, he said.
